Making her lead debut with ‘Laila Majnu’ back in 2018, Bollywood gained a promising lady star who is rightfully making all the noise for her acting chops. Bollywood’s modern-day Laila, Tripti Dimri, is back in the limelight and all set for another hit at the box office alongside Shahid Kapoor. However, her promotional wardrobes are gaining more spotlight than the buzz of her upcoming release, and we can see why.
Leaning towards a subtle choice rather than high-octane sparkles, Tripti stood out from the crowd by actually swapping sequins and dealt with the fashion act of softness in a classic Rohit Bal ensemble. Her outfit felt like a contemporary dream and less like a trend, making us rethink getting closer to timeless Indian elegance.

Rohit Bal’s designs always whisper and never shout; this is why even after his demise, the vision still feels alive, and this choice of Tripti made everything look even more real. The flared anarkali came in with a structured bodice and was dipped in luminous off-white chanderi silk. The sleek empire seam sat just above the waist and created an elongated lining, which allowed the skirt to create a sweeping moment that felt almost weightless.

The texture of Chanderi is known for its glossy texture and gentle sheen, which lends it a quiet radiance and catches the light from all the right angles. Beneath the fluid detailing, she matched its prowess with a straight-fitted pair of trousers and added a hint of structure with romantic practicality.
It was completed with a sheer organza dupatta which was draped to one side and had tonal silk-thread aari embroidery. This architectural yet poetic version of an anarkali on a pristine ivory canvas can only be imagined by the forever visionary in Indian fashion – Rohit Bal. And, we will give it to Tripti Dimri, as she effortlessly fashioned this piece, where her minimal styling notes also justified the whole look.

She accessorised the look with pearl juttis from Fizzy Goblet and statement Amrapali Jewels, which looked like subtle heirloom charms and did not for a minute overpower the look. Her beauty choices also felt the same, where she went with a barely-there makeup base, carried flushed cheeks, defined her eyes with kohl, and completed the look with muted pink lips.
Leaving her hair open with loose cascading waves, her polished avatar with a glam-without-excess feel made all things look absolutely charming. She proudly celebrated her Indian craft without turning it into a costume, where every little effort felt relatable, photogenic, and outstanding.
