Next, he plans to make another thriller in the same genre with director Sandeep Modi. According to a recent report, Karan is also working on a horror thriller, and his team is currently looking for the right cast for the film.According to Bollywood Hungama, Aditya Roy Kapur has already come on board for the project. Karan Johar has locked a horror thriller for his banner, Dharma Productions, and has roped in Aditya to play the lead character. Aditya read the script and didn’t take long to come on board. It’s a unique project, and everyone at Dharma is bullish about the theatrical prospects of the genre. The movie will go on floors in May 2026. Discussions are at an advanced stage with a female actress to play the lead opposite Aditya. The prep work has already begun at Dharma, but the director’s name has been kept under wraps for now. Among them, his Netflix fantasy series ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’ has been creating quite a buzz. Recently, rumours claimed the show had been shelved, but filmmaker Krishna DK cleared the air in June 2025. Speaking to us (The Times of India), he said, “We’ve completed the main portions and have begun rehearsals for the action sequences that are to be shot outdoors." His clarification has once again built excitement among fans eager to see Aditya back in action.Meanwhile, Aditya’s most recent appearance was in Anurag Basu’s ensemble drama ‘Metro… In Dino’.
