Tarun Tejpal taken for second round of medical tests

PANAJI: Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal's request for a fan inside the lock-up where he is lodged since Saturday night has been rejected by a local court.
The judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Kshama Joshi passed the order on Wednesday on Tejpal's application which was made two days ago. Arguments were heard by the court and the order was reserved for today.
Tejpal was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman journalist.
The crime branch of the Goa police investigating the case has taken Tejpal for the second round of tests to be conducted at Goa medical college hospital.
Tejpal was subjected to various tests including forensic and psychiatric tests during the first round of medical examination on December 2.
