In the five districts of Bharatpur, Karauli, Sawai madhopur, Dholpur and Dausa in eastern Rajasthan, the party bagged 13 seats, while the Congress got eight and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and the BSP one each. An independent candidate also won.
The BJP's assembly seat tally in five eastern Rajasthan districts went up from just one to 13, while the Congress' fell from 20 to eight. The Congress had made the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) a poll issue in the region.
Escalating his attack on Gehlot, the officer on special duty (OSD) accused him of cheating the high command, not allowing correct feedback to reach the top, not allowing anyone to become an alternative, continuously taking wrong decisions and decisions out of narcissism while being surrounded by immature and selfish people, and ignoring all feedback and surveys.

In a post on X, Gehlot said, "We humbly accept the mandate given by the people of Rajasthan. This is an unexpected result for everyone. This defeat shows that we were not completely successful in taking our plans, laws and innovations to the public."
