Rahul's 'govt will fall' remark hints at conspiracy: Piyush Goyal
New Delhi: BJP said Sunday that Rahul Gandhi's reported comment at a Congress event that govt will fall within a year is a no ordinary statement but a pointer to the conspiracy to stoke anarchy and destabilise the country.
Several BJP functionaries launched a coordinated attack on the Congress MP, with Union minister Piyush Goyal saying Rahul and his associates have realised that they cannot defeat BJP in a democratic contest and so they now want to spread violence in the country. Their hatred against India runs so deep that they simply cannot bear to witness anything positive happening in the country, he alleged.
"People of this country are discerning. They fully understand the true nature of Rahul Gandhi, the opposition, and the toolkit gang that is working against the national interest. People have repeatedly given them a befitting reply. The INDI alliance's conspiracy to set India on fire will never succeed," Goyal added.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra alleged that Rahul's remarks made it clear that he was pursuing a "foreign agenda" at the behest of his "masters" like George Soros and foreign companies that fund his overseas travel, with an intent to end democracy in India. He said that India is progressing under PM Narendra Modi even as several countries are facing problems due to ongoing conflicts in different parts of the world. "As long as this govt enjoys the blessings of the people, it will continue to serve the country," he said.TNN
