Commenting on the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly talk show, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the 'Mann ki Baat' is a forum for the expression of the country's feelings.

Speaking to reporters in his home constituency of Shiggaon on Sunday, Bommai said that the 'Mann ki Baat' radio show is heard in every house in the country as it is the expression of the country.

"It is also the platform to hear people's problems and to suggest solutions. The programme connects to the country those who are doing small jobs in villages, and has helped many to change their jobs to become self-employed. This is an excellent programme. The entire country will get inspiration if they find a perfect place for the exchange of thoughts. It is open to everyone," said Bommai.

A group of people on Sunday attended the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio address 'Mann ki Baat' at a programme organised in a cinema hall in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Indore Lok Sabha member Shankar Lalwani organised the event at a multiplex in Sapna-Sangeeta area of the city.

Talking to PTI, Lalwani claimed it was for the first time in the country that people enjoyed the 'Mann ki Baat' on the 70 mm screen of a cinema hall where the programme was broadcast.

He said ex-servicemen, doctors, engineers, artists, senior office-bearers of business organisations and heads of different communities attended the programme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that 'Mann Ki Baat' in his journey of 100 episodes has showcased stories of talented individuals across diverse fields from promoting Atmanirbhar Bharat to Make in India and Space start-ups.

Addressing the 100th episode of his monthly radio program, the Prime Minister said that there are many talented people in the country who reached the pinnacle of success through hard work and Mann Ki Baat became a medium to bring those people and their products to the forefront.

"There are so many talented people in our country who have reached the pinnacle of success through their hard work. Venkat Murali Prasad from Visakhapatnam shared an interesting Atmanirbhar Bharat Chart in 2021. He has compiled a broad list of things used at his home, saying that he plans to ensure he will use as many products made in India. We have discussed many examples from Make in India to Space Start-ups in Mann Ki Baat", the PM said.

He further said, "When Pramod ji of Bettiah set up a small unit to make LED bulbs or Santosh ji of Garhmukteshwar started making mats, 'Mann Ki Baat' became the medium to bring their products in front of everyone."

The Prime Minister also mentioned how Mann Ki Baat acted as a tool for many mass movements to gain momentum. Taking the example of the mission to re-establish traditional toys and toy industry, PM said that every such model has become an agent of change in society.

"There has been another speciality of 'Mann Ki Baat'. Through 'Mann Ki Baat', many mass movements have come into being and gained momentum. For example, the mission to re-establish our toys and our toy industry started with 'Mann Ki Baat'", he said.

The gender ratio has improved in Haryana as a result of many campaigns like 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' and 'Selfie With Daughter', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday in the 100th episode of its monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'.

The Prime Minister also credited Haryana-based Sunil Jaglan for the 'Selfie With Daughter' campaign and said that the importance of having a daughter in one's life comes to the fore through his campaign.

"Sunil Jaglan ji has created an impact because earlier there used to be a lot of discussion on the Gender Ratio in Haryana", the PM said.

"I started the campaign 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' from Haryana itself. The 'Selfie with Daughter' campaign influenced me a lot and I mentioned it in my episode. Soon this 'Selfie with Daughter' campaign turned into a global campaign. The motive of this campaign was to make people understand the importance of a daughter in one's life", the PM said.

PM Modi then also thanked the activist Sunil Jaglan for bringing the 'Selfie with Daughter' campaign to life and making it a success in the spirit of 'Beti-Padhao, Beti-Bachao.'

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel listened to the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" radio broadcast and also inaugurated a photo exhibition at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday.

A special programme was held at the Raj Bhawan on the occasion of the 100th episode of "Mann ki Baat".

On the occasion, the governor inaugurated a photo exhibition on the prime minister's monthly radio broadcast and "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" organised by the Central Bureau of Communication.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is in Karnataka for election campaigning, listened to Modi's radio broadcast in Koppal district, while Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak listened to "Mann ki Baat" in Prayagraj and Shravasti respectively.

Special arrangements were made at more than 50,000 places in Uttar Pradesh for people to listen to the 100th episode of "Mann ki Baat", officials said here.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the historic 100th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday, described his connection with the popular monthly radio programme likening it to "Prasad Ki Thaal" (offering to God) and said that it has become a "spiritual journey" for him.

"Like when people go to worship God, they bring along a Thaal of Prasad. For me, 'Mann Ki Baat' is like a 'Prasad Ki Thaal' at the feet of God in the form of 'Janata-Janardan', the people. 'Mann Ki Baat' has become a spiritual journey of my being. 'Mann Ki Baat' is a journey from the self to the collective. 'Mann Ki Baat' is a journey from myself to ourselves. It is not me, but you are its Sanskar Sadhana," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister mentioned women empowerment during his show and that how his monthly radio programme became a platform to bring to the fore woman power which led various campaigns for social causes.

The Prime Minister cited various examples from parts of the country in which people worked to contribute to society at large and said that his mentioning of the achievements of women in the episodes of Mann Ki Baat has gained a lot of praise by the people.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday attended here the live broadcast of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' radio address.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the event.

In the 100th episode of 'Mann ki Baat', PM Modi said the radio broadcast is an expression of the feelings of crores of Indians and it has ensured he is never cut-off from people.

Modi said 'Mann ki Baat' gave him a solution to connect with the people and was not merely a programme but a spiritual journey for him.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Mumbai unit made arrangements for the live broadcast of the 100th episode of PM Modi's monthly radio address on Sunday at 5,000 places across 36 Assembly constituencies in the city and suburbs.

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday flagged off a marathon here to mark the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann ki Baat" radio broadcast.

The marathon, organised by the Hindustan Scouts and Guides and the Dogra Kranti Dal, is one of 100 marathons scheduled throughout the day across the Union Territory to celebrate the monthly broadcast.

"The 100 marathons across the Union Territory will also raise awareness and strengthen action and cooperation against drug abuse and trafficking," Sinha told the gathering before flagging off the marathon at the Balidan Stambh (War Memorial) here.

"On October 3, 2014, day of the Vijaya Dashami festival, all of us together started the journey of 'Mann Ki Baat'. Vijaya Dashami is the festival of victory of good over evil. We celebrate positivity", the Prime Minister said.

PM further said that he received thousands of letters and messages from the people and was "swept away by emotions" while reading them.

The BJP top leaders will be accompanied by hundreds of party workers. The party has made massive arrangements to make this a mega event. 'Mann Ki Baat' will be heard at four lakh booths of the BJP across the country where the party workers, leaders and Chief Ministers will be present.

Apart from the BJP workers, different social organisations, NGOs and Trusts will also listen to the 'Mann Ki Baat'.

Apart from India, NRIs will also listen to the 'Mann Ki Baat's 100th episode in their respective countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' made brought about a "behavioural change" among people with the kind of exchanges with the listeners during the show, Dr Amit Kapoor, Chairman, Institute for Competitiveness, said on Saturday.

Kapoor said that the Prime Minister made conversations with the people on the issues which mattered to the citizens.

Pune City Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Jagdish Mulik said that the Prime Minister's monthly radio address 'Mann ki Baat' will be broadcast live at 1000 locations in the city on Sunday.

"The program has received immense appreciation from across the country. This Sunday, on the 30th of the month, the program will be broadcast live at 11 am and will cover various events across the country. The pune city will also be participating in this time's 'Mann Ki Baat' and the city bjp decided to broadcast Mann Ki Baat at 1000 locations across the city", Mulik said.

The City BJP chief further said, "Every BJP booth in Pune city will be broadcasting the program live, and various societies, Ganesh mandals and organizations will also be broadcasting the program. The citizens of Pune are invited to join the programme."
