Mayawati says no LS poll pact, BSP to go solo

LUCKNOW: BSP chief Mayawati on Saturday reiterated her party’s stance to go solo in Lok Sabha elections and dismissed rumours of the party forming any electoral alliance.


“BSP is fighting Lok Sabha polls in the country with complete preparation and full might. In such a situation, spreading rumours about forming an electoral alliance or third front is fake and wrong news,” she posted on X.

“Our political rivals in UP are restless because BSP is contesting elections alone with great strength. That is why they keep trying to mislead people by spreading rumours,” Mayawati stated.

She said keeping in mind the interest of ‘bahujan samaj’ (SC/STs and minorities), BSP has taken this decision. She asked media to not report such fake news and appealed to people to remain careful.
