JSW-TOI Earth Care Awards in its 13th edition, calls for entries from all climate-action fields
NEW DELHI: With the JSW-TOI Earth Care Awards entering its 13th edition, JSW and The Times of India group have jointly invited applications from all those who have been working in the fields of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Celebrating excellence in climate action through innovation, inclusivity and impact, the JSW-TOI Earth Care Awards have added a new category - Communicators for Climate Action - this year to honour impactful climate storytelling.
Underlining the vital role of storytelling in driving collective climate action, the new category recognizes journalists, filmmakers, writers and media professionals who use the power of communication to raise awareness, inspire action, and shape public perception around environmental challenges.
Applicants can submit their nominations through www.earthcareawards.com by Nov 30. The applicants will be evaluated with a rigorous three-step evaluation process where a knowledge partner sifts through the applications followed by on-site inspections. The projects will then be presented to the Jury panel, comprising eminent national and international domain experts, for final selection. Think Through Consulting is the knowledge partner of the Awards.
This year's panel includes Ajay Mathur, professor of practice in the School of Public Policy at IIT, Delhi and former director general of the International Solar Alliance (ISA); Arunabha Ghosh, CEO of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW); Soumya Swaminathan, chairperson at the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF); Rajat Gupta, senior partner at McKinsey & Company; Shloka Nath, CEO of the India Climate Collaborative; and and Jens Nielsen, CEO of the World Climate Foundation (WCF).
The JSW-TOI Earth Care Awards have expanded their scope by introducing fresh categories such as Young Climate Champion, Women Leaders in Climate Action, and Communicators for Climate Action over the past few editions.
These additions complement the existing categories that honour Community-Led Climate Action, Institutional Leadership in Urban Climate Action, Emerging Businesses in Climate Action, and Green Business Titan, ensuring a holistic recognition of diverse efforts driving sustainability across India.
