India Entering ‘Golden Era’ Of Defence Innovation And Self-Reliance: Rajnath Singh

At the Indian Navy’s Seminar–Swavlamban 2025 in Delhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh underscored India’s accelerating shift toward defence self-reliance. He praised the innovators, startups, and young technologists who have helped redefine India's role from a defence equipment importer to a nation steadily emerging as a technology exporter. Singh noted that the current wave of indigenisation is powered not only by government initiatives but by the determination, creativity, and problem-solving mindset of Indian developers and entrepreneurs. He said their contributions prove that India is now designing, building, and leading in the global defence arena, laying the foundation for a stronger and more independent military future.
