Votes are being counted across Assam, West Bengal, Puducherry, and Kerala, with early leads shaping up across all four assemblies. In Assam, where 64 seats are needed for a majority in the 126-seat house, NDA holds a tally of 97, having won 28 and leading in 69 more, putting it well past the majority mark on current trends. Congress and its allies are leading in 22 seats with no wins declared yet. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively account for a tally of 7 in Assam. In West Bengal, where the majority mark stands at 148 in a 294-seat assembly, BJP leads the count with a tally of 179, comprising 11 declared wins and leads in 168 constituencies. TMC has a tally of 106, with 2 wins and leads in 104 seats. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively hold a tally of 8 in West Bengal. Puducherry, with a majority mark of 16 in its 30-seat house, sees NDA holding a tally of 18, with 13 seats already won and leads in 5 more, crossing the majority threshold on current numbers. SPA has a tally of 5, with 2 wins and leads in 3 seats. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively account for a tally of 7 in Puducherry.
