IndiGo appoints external expert to probe operational disruptions

IndiGo appointed an external aviation expert to conduct a “root cause analysis” of the recent operational disruptions, the airline’s Board stated. CPI inflation rises to 0.71% in November; food prices, fuel drive uptick

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rose to 0.71% in November 2025, up from 0.25% in October, marking a 46-basis-point increase in headline inflation. The All India Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) recorded a provisional year-on-year deflation of 3.91% in November 2025 compared to the same month last year. The rise in both headline and food inflation during November is largely driven by higher prices in vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, spices, as well as fuel and light. Govt allocates Rs 11,718 crore for Census 2027; to be held in two phases

The government approved Rs 11,718.24 crore for conducting the 2027 Census of India, the largest headcount in the world. Speaking after the Union Cabinet meeting, minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Census will be carried out in two phases—housing listing and population enumeration. "Census 2027 will be the first-ever digital census. The digital design of the census has been made keeping in mind data protection," Vaisnaw said. Read full story
