Delhi Elections 2025 Live Updates: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing a 'Jansabha' in East Delhi's Trilokpuri, urged the public to cast their votes "mindfully" in the upcoming assembly elections on February 5. He warned voters not to press the "wrong button," referring to the BJP's lotus symbol and alleged that if the saffron party comes to power, all free facilities they enjoy now would be discontinued.
Kejriwal claimed that if the BJP wins the election, the people of Delhi would "land in trouble" and appealed to the public to choose the Aam Aadmi Party to "secure the future of their children."

'Nobody misuses government machinery like BJP': Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav
Devender Yadav, Delhi Congress President and candidate from the Badli assembly constituency has responded to allegations made by BJP's New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma, accusing the opposition of misusing government machinery during the Delhi Assembly elections.
Yadav emphasized that no political party misuses government resources as much as the BJP does. However, he also raised concerns about the AAP's similar behaviour in the elections.
Speaking to media, Yadav stated, "Nobody misuses the government machinery as much BJP. But, it is concerning how AAP is also participating in the Delhi elections in a similar manner... The Election Commission should take cognizance of this."
In a separate comment regarding Congress leader Ajay Maken's earlier remarks, Yadav did not hold back in his criticism of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Referring to Kejriwal's leadership, Yadav said, "Arvind Kejriwal presents himself as a completely fake person, who behaves opposite to what he says." (ANI)

BJP's Rajasthan in-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal on Wednesday said the Aam Aadmi Party's politics of "lies, corruption" has been exposed in Delhi. Agarwal made the allegation in response to a question on the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi.
He also took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Talking to reporters at Jaipur Airport, Agarwal said, "Rahul Gandhi ji is a very good man. May God keep his goodness intact. He will dig such a grave for Congress that Congress will not exist anywhere in the country whereas the Aam Aadmi Party has been exposed."
He said, "People have come to know that they (Aam Aadmi Party) only do politics of lies, confusion, corruption and extortion. They have nothing to do with development."
Asked about the cabinet expansion in Rajasthan, Agarwal said the question can only be addressed by the chief minister.
"He should decide whether there should be any change in the cabinet, any expansion should be done, whether it should happen or not. It is his prerogative," he said. (PTI)

BJP MP Parvesh Verma on Wednesday said he will file Rs 100 crore defamation suits against AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for levelling "false allegations" against him. Verma issued legal notices to both AAP leaders later in the evening and demanded an unconditional apology within 48 hours.
The notice charged Kejriwal and Mann for allegedly defaming Verma with "false misleading statements baseless tweets/re-tweets dated 21.1.2025 with distortion/misquoting to defame/blame and conspire."
"...By serving you this legal notice, I hereby call upon you to pay the damages of Rupees one hundred crores (fifty crores each) to my client as well as tender an unconditional written apology, within Forty eight (48) hours from the receipt of this notice, failing which my client would be constrained to initiate legal proceedings against you the notices before the competent court of law and Police, at your risk, cost and consequences," the notice read. Former Union minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday asserted that the BJP will win the Delhi assembly polls with a two-third majority as people have understood the reality of "excuse-maker and anti-woman" Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). "The BJP is at the top in the hearts of the people and there is only one thing in the people's heart that the BJP has to win," Thakur said in an interview with PTI Videos.
He described the AAP as an anti-women party, alleging that first its Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal was beaten up at Kejriwal's residence and now the picture of the incumbent Chief Minister Atishi has not been given a place even on the party's posters.

The Delhi assembly elections 2025 will be held on February 5, with results announced on February 8. In 2020, AAP secured a landslide victory, winning 62 of 70 seats with a 53.6% vote share, while BJP managed 8 seats and Congress only 4.3%.
AAP is aiming for a third consecutive term, but faces challenges from BJP, which has not won a majority in Delhi since 1993, and Congress, making a last-ditch effort to regain relevance.
Campaigning began on January 10 and will conclude on February 3.
