Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday urged the Centre to provide additional one crore Covid-19 vaccine doses for a mega vaccination camp scheduled to begin from September 12. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian in a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya requested for an additional one crore Covid vaccines along with the equal number of 0.5 ml of AD Syringes or 1ml/2ml syringes to the state. Uttar Pradesh relaxes night curfew timings
Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday relaxed the night curfew timings by an hour in light of decreasing Covid-19 cases. The night curfew will now be imposed from 11 pm to 6 am rather than 10 pm to 6 am. The new timings will come into effect immediately as per the order issued by Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi today.

Coastal districts account for nearly 70 percent of 638 new Covid-19 cases in Odisha
Odisha's eight coastal districts continued to report a high number of fresh Covid-19 cases and fatalities as the region accounted for nearly 70 percent of the 638 new cases detected on Tuesday and five of the seven deaths recorded during the day, a health official said. The region accounted for over 65 per cent of the state's caseload of 10,12,805.

ICMR should look into complaints against private labs: Delhi HC
The Delhi high court on Tuesday said the ICMR should look into the complaints received against private pathology laboratories and revoke licences in case of breach of conditions. It is the ICMR which gives licences to the labs and it cannot be sitting in ivory towers, the high court said. The high court was hearing a plea seeking contempt action against the authorities for not adhering to the Delhi high court's earlier direction to take action against online health service aggregators which are operating illegally and collecting samples for Covid-19 tests.
