In addition to BMC centres, 29 private hospitals in Mumbai have been given permissions to carry out Covid vaccination. These 29 hospitals fulfil all criteria prescribed by GoI to be designated as Covid Vaccination Centre.
A total of 1,54,61,864 vaccine doses have been given, as per the provisional report till 7 pm, the ministry said.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses given in the country has crossed 1.54 crore which include 6,09,845 shots administered on Tuesday, reports PTI.
They should also ensure adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour among citizen beneficiaries. State and District administration would proactively facilitate this.
States/UTs in consultation with the private hospitals should open the vaccination slots for 15 days to a month and announce this as part of their vaccine time table.
"All Private Vaccination Centres should have in place effective crowd management protocols along with facilities for seating, water, proper signage etc," the government said in its guidelines released today.
Private hospitals not empanelled under the above mentioned three categories have also been permitted to operate as CVCs.
