23 cases of new virus among Iranian MPs: Report
An Iranian lawmaker reportedly has told colleagues to stop their contact with public as there are 23 cases of the new coronavirus among parliament members. That's according to lawmaker Abdolreza Mesri, who was quoted by Iranian state television's Young Journalists Club program. The comment comes as Iran's supreme leader put the country on war footing against the virus outbreak, which is the deadliest outside of China.

Seventy-seven people have died and 2,336 have been infected by the coronavirus, Iran's Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi said in an announcement on state TV on Tuesday. Iran has had the highest number of deaths from the coronavirus outside of China, where the virus originated.

Six from a family in Agra shifted to Safdarjung Hospital on suspicion of COVID-19
Two local shoe exporters, who had visited Italy last month, were shifted to Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital on Tuesday along with their four family members on suspicion of contacting the deadly Coronavirus. According to health officials, the two exporters, who are brothers, had been kept in the isolation ward in district hospital since Monday after they had developed symptoms of the disease, including high fever and respiratory problems. Their other family members had been advised to “quarantine”’ themselves at their home and their throat swabs were taken for testing. The decision to shift them to Delhi was taken after the close relative of the exporters, who too had visited Italy with them, had tested positive for COVID-19 in Delhi.

Coronavirus: Agra hotels told to report arrival of visitors from Italy, Iran, China
Hotels and the authorities at tourist sites in Agra have been told to inform the office of the chief medical officer as soon as visitors from Italy, Iran or China arrive, so that they can be screened for coronavirus infection, an official said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, in Lucknow, samples of an Uttar Pradesh residents who had returned from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday morning have been sent for testing. He will be quarantined for 14 days in the hospital. The instructions came a day after an Italian tourist was tested positive for coronavirus in Jaipur.

Concerts, sports events in UAE cancelled, postponed as virus spreads in Gulf
Major concerts and events in the United Arab Emirates, an air transit centre as well as a tourism and business hub, have been cancelled or postponed as the coronavirus spreads in the Gulf. The March 5-6 electronic music Ultra festival at Abu Dhabi's 25,000-capacity Du arena and the March 21 K-pop concert Music Bank at Dubai's 17,000-capacity Coca Cola Arena have been cancelled. There have been at least 1,641 cases of the virus in the Gulf region, mostly in Iran where 66 people have died. Cases have also been reported in other Middle East nations.

India has restricted the export of 26 pharmaceutical ingredients and drugs made from them, including paracetamol, as concern mounted the coronavirus outbreak could turn into a pandemic. No fresh symptoms of coronavirus in 112 Wuhan evacuees at Chhawla facility: ITBP
All 112 people had tested negative last Sunday and are being taken care of ITBP said. The latest batch was brought to the ITBP Centre on February 27. Among them, 76 are Indians while the rest are foreign nationals.
