Coronavirus live updates: Goa extends corona curfew till June 28

India reported 60,753 new Covid-19 cases, 97,743 discharges & 1,647 deaths in last 24 hours, as per health ministry's updated data on Saturday. The total number of cases are 2,98,23,546 a against total discharges which are 2,86,78,390. The death toll has further climbed to 3,85,137. The Centre on Friday introduced a new feature to eliminate duplication in certificates on CoWIN, offering relief to several beneficiaries who failed to get the final certificate despite obtaining both the doses because they used different cellphone numbers to register on the portal. Mizoram extends lockdown till June 30
The Mizoram government on Friday extended the lockdown with certain relaxations till June 30, a notification said. The ongoing lockdown was scheduled to end on June 21. Under the new regulations, inter-village movement will be allowed and shops besides those selling essential commodities will be permitted to open on specific days in the Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) area.

Delta Covid variant becoming globally dominant, WHO official says
The Delta variant of Covid-19, first identified in India, is becoming the globally dominant variant of the disease, the World Health Organization's chief scientist said on Friday.
