Cops send notice to Maharashtra babu's son for attack on woman

THANE: The Kasarwadavali police have issued notices to Ashwajit Gaikwad, son of a bureaucrat, and two others who allegedly tried to mow down a female friend, Priya Singh, who has once again demanded to invoke attempt to murder charge.

Amar Singh Jadhav, DCP zone-5, confirmed the development and said that based on the victim's statement and the FIR, and by following all legal process, they issued notices under section 41-D of CrPC. Accordingly, statements of the trio will be recorded in the Kasarwadavali police station.

The official also confirmed that they have seized the SUV involved in the incident. in which Singh was tried to mow down. The victim had alleged that the police are helping the accused get away as only trivial sections are added to the case because of the clout of the bureaucrat.
