Congress made Kalmadi scapegoat in CWG scam: Venkaiah

PANJI: BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today accused the Congress of making sacked CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi a "scapegoat" in the Commonwealth Games scam.
"Why Delhi Chief Minister (Sheila Dixit) was not arrested in connection with the financial irregularities in the Commonwealth Games?...Why was union sports minister not arrested? Why was union urban development not arrested for their role into the scam?" he said at a rally in Mapusa town, marking wrapping up of the fortnight-long BJP's 'Jana Sampark Abhiyaan' launched by Arun Jaitley.
"Kalmadi was made a scapegoat in the CWG scam," he said.
