The third phase of polling in West Bengal ended on Tuesday with a total voter turnout of 77.68 per cent across 31 seats keeping up the trend of high turnout. However, the third phase also witnessed violence during polling as the ruling Trinamool Congress, the BJP and the Left-Congress alliance put up an intense fight in the high-stakes contest. BJP leaders campaigning in Assam have claimed that they reached the magic number to form the government in the first two phases and with the voting in the last phase they will form the government with a thumping majority.
