2 SP leaders killed in police firing

KANPUR: At least three persons including two local Samajwadi Party leaders, were killed in a police firing incident at Konch police station in Jalaun district on Sunday.
According to reports reaching here, the two politicians were killed after an altercation with the head of the police station. The two had gone seeking recommendations for an arms licence.
The brawl between the two and Devi Dutt Singh Rathore, the station head, took a serious turn when the latter allegedly resorted to firing and killed both on the spot.
Soon after the news spread, hundreds of locals gathered outside the police station and tried to get to Devi Dutt.
