Her deadline is December 2004. "I haveto sort my life out by the end of the year," Perizaad Zorabian sighsdramatically. "If I don''t get decent work, I might as well go back to working 9to 5." What about acting then? "I don''t think I can give up acting for good. Ihave done English theatre, so I''ll try my hand at Hindi theatre. I''ll do actingas a hobby."Since Jogger''s Park, which released last year, Perizaadhasn''t signed a single film. And it''s not for lack of offers. "I am only gettingtrashy art house films," she laments. "The problem is, everyone thinks thatmaking a hatke Rs 2 crore film is the easiest thing in the world. Such filmsdon''t have a decent script."What about mainstream Hindi films? "It''sthe same story. Only the second rung of producers and directors seem to bethinking of me. Now that I''m trying to make it in commercial films, I only wantto work with the best."Between the Subhash Ghai production and now,Perizaad has wrapped up two films — Morning Raga and Devaki.
