Fame is temporary, but relationships and values stay forever: Shubhangi Latkar
Actress Shubhangi Latkar, currently playing Ganga Mai, emphasises staying grounded by remembering her true self amidst fame.
Shubhangi Latkar has learned to treat fame as a passing phase, choosing instead to hold on to simplicity, relationships, and self-awareness. Currently seen as Ganga Mai in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, she reflects on what it takes to stay grounded while living in the public eye. “Honestly, I just remind myself that I am the same person I was before all this. Fame comes and goes, but your real self should stay the same. Fame is temporary, but relationships and values stay forever. So never lose yourself while chasing success. I try not to take too much pressure and focus on doing my work sincerely.” Her motivation comes from within and from those closest to her. “My love for acting keeps me going. When I think about my journey and how far I’ve come, it gives me strength. My family and their belief in me also motivate me a lot.” She acknowledges moments of doubt but doesn’t let them take over. “Yes, of course… I am human. There are times I feel ‘Am I doing right?’ But then I calm myself down, trust my experience, and remind myself why I started. Dheere dheere clarity comes.” On criticism, she draws a firm line. “I listen to genuine criticism because it helps me grow. But unnecessary negativity, I simply ignore. You cannot make everyone happy, and that’s okay.”
