Bangalore is facing power cuts this summer too despite the
energy minister’s promise last week that the city would be spare this annual
problem. What’s worse, the residents are having to deal with unscheduled cuts.
Bescom says it’s due to maintenance work ahead of the monsoon and asks it’s a

If maintenance is not done regularly, any consequent break down may be serious.

Not seen any decent progress to improve generation and distribution except setting up a new landline number in Bangalore. But they do seem to make an effort to maintain the power supply, but no seriousness to arrange enough power.

BEING an Electrical Engineering undergraduate , I want to say that the government is nobody to decide . I mean the power system engineering primarily focus on steady load flow. The power cut is required for keeping desired frequency in the grid to prevent "Blackout". Additionally, the maintenance work takes time. WE - THE UNDERGRADUATES IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ENSURES THAT WHEN WE WILL BE SITTING IN THE CONTROL ROOM ,WE WILL END THE POWER CUTS. WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE POSITION. JUST 1 YEAR AWAY
