Who Is Pete DeJoy? 5 Things to Know About Astronomer’s New Interim CEO

A brief but widely shared video from a Coldplay concert has turned into a major turning point for Astronomer, a US-based data technology firm. The clip, which showed former CEO Andy Byron alongside the company’s head of HR during a stadium kiss cam moment, quickly spread online and drew attention both inside and outside the company. Byron stepped down soon after, leading to a swift leadership change.

Following his exit, Astronomer has named co-founder Pete DeJoy as the interim CEO. DeJoy, who has been part of the company since its early days, now steps into the top role at a time when the organisation is under increased public focus. Here's a look at who he is and the responsibilities he takes on during this crucial phase.
