This is not the first time dolphins have been seen near Mumbai. According to a report by India Today, during the Covid-19 lockdown, when movement in the city had reduced, some animals were spotted closer to urban areas. In December 2020, dolphins were also seen in Vashi Creek, and those videos were shared widely at the time.

Sightings like these show that wildlife continues to exist around the city. Most of the time, people are just too busy to notice it.
