According to the post, the tourist wanted to explore the city more locally and see everyday life in Old Delhi instead of only visiting common tourist spots.The tourist was reportedly near the Jama Masjid area when an e-rickshaw driver approached him and offered a short ride through nearby market lanes. The tourist agreed and started a local tour through the busy streets of Old Delhi.

As per the viral post, the ride lasted around 30 minutes. During this time, the tourist was taken through crowded lanes, market areas, and popular food spots in Old Delhi.The post claims that after the ride ended, the driver asked for Rs 4,500 and described it as a “special foreigner tour.” This reportedly surprised the tourist.


Tea seller reportedly steps in

The post further mentions that an elderly tea seller nearby noticed the situation.
As per the claim, he stepped in to explain the usual fare to the tourist and also questioned the amount being asked by the driver.
The tea seller is quoted as saying, “Visitors come here to collect memories, not bad experiences.”After this interaction, the tourist reportedly said, “Today I saw two sides of India… one trying to take advantage of me and another trying to protect me.”
