What happened on January 9?
According to sources quoted by IranWire, Diana had taken part in protests on the nights of January 8 and 9. Those protests in Gorgan were met with extreme force. Witnesses allege that security personnel used heavy weapons, even machine guns, against demonstrators.
Around midnight on January 9, Diana was reportedly shot with live ammunition.

Her family searched for her for two long days. On January 11, they were finally handed her body.
The forced story of an ‘accident’
