'More Hindu than us': Israeli influencer's Sanatan Dharma-inspired routine has the internet shocked with his discipline
India is the land of the gods, from one corner of the country to another, the gods vary not only in looks but also in belief. However, what remains the same is the devotion among their worshippers, who live life through their guidelines, with faith in their idols.
The Indian subcontinent is also home to Sanatan Dharma, often equated with Hinduism. Originating in the ancient texts, it is a comprehensive philosophy that guides living beings towards spiritual liberation. As of 2026, about 1.2 billion people follow Sanatan Dharma globally, making it the world's third-largest religion. Recently, one such follower has taken the internet by storm.
Tamal, an Israeli man who resides in India and runs a popular account called Sankalpa Mantra Sadhana recently shared a video of his routine as a follower of Sanatan Dharma. "This is my breakfast as a professional bodybuilder, pure vegetarian and follower of Sanatan Dharma," he said while showing a bowl full of cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, tofu and cheese.
Dressed in a traditional attire with a tilak on his head, he said that he cleaned everything first. "You have to wash it very, very nicely cuz everything that comes from the shop or outside is dirty with dust and bacteria(sic)," he said.
Since he offered his breakfast to the lord, Tamal began cutting out the organs and mangoes while separating the grapes from the branches. "I like to prepare breakfast very beautifully, arrange everything, cut the fruits, and you have to open the yogurt very nicely and the pistachios."
"Once you have that ready I take it to the altar and pray so the lord accepts it," added the content creator. He advised that people should offer the food they eat to the lord so that it becomes prasadam and helps them stay fit- physically, as well as spiritually and mentally.
In other videos on his account, he advised followers to add Tulsi leaves to their food before offering it to the lord and to ensure that they offer every meal to the lord to help enhance their consciousness.
Tamal, who has been practising meditation for 16 years, shocked and inspired many on the internet.
"Bro you are more Hindu than us," wrote one.
"So heartened to see your connection to Sanatan spirituality," added another.
"That's so good, lord krishna bless you," another user wrote.
As per one of his videos, Tamal who previously lived in Israel moved to India in 2009. He said he made the move along with his entire family including father, mother, grandmother and sister.
He further revealed that he studied in a traditional gurukul in Mayapur, West Bengal for 12 years and learnt "Vedic mantras, how to do pujas and havan."
"In 2021, I graduated from that gurukul and since I have been doing that as a living. I have been doing havan, performing yagyas, chanting mantras and making some content," he added.
