​‘Varisu’ – Rs 300+ crores

This is yet another Bilingual film and it is written (along with Ashishor Solomon and Hari) and directed by Tollywood director Vamshi Paidipally. The film marked the debut of Dil Raju in Tamil cinema starring Vijay and Rashmika in the lead roles and is said to have minted over Rs 300 + crores in Tamil cinema.

​‘Waltair Veerayya’ – Rs 220 crores

This action-packed film written and directed by Bobby Kolli Showcased Chiranjeevi as a witty smuggler and the film is a multi-starrer that also had Ravi Teja sharing the screen with Chiranjeevi. Shruti Haasan played the love interest of Chiru while Catherine Tresa paired with Ravi the film is a commercial success and is one of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of 2023 so far.

​‘PS2’ – Rs 200+ crores & Counting

The above film is a sequel to the PS1 made by Maniratnam with an ensemble star cast from Tamil cinema. The film is an epic historical action-adventure based on the POnniyin Selvan Novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film was released on 28th April 2023 and is said to have minted over Rs 200 crores already in its first week and is currently running successfully in theatres now.

​‘Thunivu’ – Rs 200 crores

This is yet another action heist flick by Tamil filmmaker H.Vinoth and stars Ajith Kumar, and Manju Warrier in the lead roles besides Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Ajay and others playing supporting roles. The film is said to have minted over Rs 200+ crores for Ajith’s star power besides the film receiving mixed reviews.

​‘Veera Simha Reddy’ – Rs 134 Crores

This is yet another action drama film by Malineni Gopichand that starred Nandamuri Balakrishna in the dual role. This film too featured Shruti Haasan as the lady lead, while Varlaxmi Sarath Kumar, Honey Rose, and Duniya Vijay played other important roles.

Though the film received mixed reviews for its content and execution the film reportedly managed to mint over Rs 134 crores.

​‘Dasara’ - Rs 115 Crores

This period action drama film written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela with an ensemble star cast from Nani to Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Poorna is set in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines of Telangana that had a Pan-India release with a positive review from critics and managed to mint over Rs 115 Crores at the Indian box-office.

​‘SIR’ – Rs 118 crores

‘Sir’/’Vaathi’ is a 2023 action drama period film written and directed by Venky Atluri. The film is made as a bilingual starring Tamil actor Dhanush, along with Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani and others playing other important roles in it.

‘Virupaksha’ – Rs 80+ Crores and counting…!

This Telugu mystery horror film by Karthik Varma Dandu who co-wrote the film along with his Sukumar ('Pushpa' famed) featured Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon, Sunil, Rajeev Kanakala, Brahmaji and others playing other important roles and is currently marching towards Rs 100 crores and more as the film is now gearing up to release in other Major Indian languages as well.
