West End Live announces the 2026 performance line-up: Here's all you need to know about the event

Mark your calendars, folks, as the official line-up for West End Live has finally been announced! As one of the largest free musical performance festivals in the world, the event features classics from varied genres over two days. With over 50 performances, the authorities announced the shows three weeks before they go live, which will occur at Trafalgar Square on June 20 and June 21, 2026. Here’s a closer look at the performances of West End Live. Disney shows will get to open the shows on both days, with ‘Hercules’ on Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. and ‘The Lion King’ on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 12 noon. ‘High School Musical’ will be showing its previews, ahead of its official opening in October. ‘Phantom of the Opera’ will be performing ahead of its 40th anniversary this year. Meanwhile, this will be a one-time chance to watch ‘Beetlejuice’ live with the show’s limited engagement until April 2027. There will also be new shows this year, including ‘Les Misérables,’ ‘Mamma Mia!,’ ‘Wicked,’ ‘Magic Mike Live’ and ‘Six.’Other performances include ‘Avenue Q,’ ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ ‘Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage,’ ‘Hamilton,’ ‘Matilda The Musical,’ ‘Here Comes J. Edgar! A Comedy Musical,’ and many more. As the live performance continues, the show and the backstage content will also be streamed online on the Official London Theatre YouTube and other social media platforms. To get a step closer to watching live, there will be an online contest in advance to offer 100 fast-track entries per day, permitting a separate attendee entrance for the selected people, according to the website of the Official London Theatre. Moreover, a selected winner will have backstage access during the festival, along with a merchandise voucher and Theatre tokens.
