Telugu actor Teja Sajja received pan-India love after his outing in the 2024 mythological superhero film, ‘HanuMan’, directed by Prasanth Varma. However, there have been rumours circulating that he has walked out of the sequel to the film ‘Jai Hanuma’. As per the latest report, it seems that the actor is still part of the film.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Teja Sajja, while connecting with the agency, shared that it is “false news” that he has walked off the project. The report also suggests that the actor hasn’t distanced himself from the Rishab Shetty starrer.
What were the rumours?
For the unversed, rumours regarding Teja Sajja surfaced, which suggested that due to limited screens and some creative difference the actor has pushed himself away from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. However, this recent revelation verifies them to be just rumours.
At the end of ‘HanuMan’, Teja’s superhero sees Lord Hanuman come out from the Himalayas to start a big battle. In October 2024, it was announced that ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ star Rishab Shetty will play Lord Hanuman in ‘Jai Hanuman’. The film has not started shooting yet. It is part of the PVCU, which will also have movies like ‘Mahakali’ and ‘Adhira’.

Teja Sajja was last seen in yet another superhero genre film, ‘Mirai’, which went on to become a successful outing. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film follows a young warrior tasked with protecting nine sacred scriptures that can turn mortals into deities. He wields a miraculous staff after rigorous training. The movie, which was released on September 12, 2025, and collected Rs 141 crore worldwide according to trade analyst Sacnilk.
The movie also includes Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Shriya Saran, and others in key roles.
