‘Rockstar’ inspired Thrinadha Rao Nakkina to cast Nargis Fakhri in ‘Nenu Ready’

Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri will be making her Telugu debut with the upcoming film ‘Nenu Ready’ starring Havish and Kavya Thapar. The actress will be seen in a special song in the film, and director Thrinadha Rao Nakkina has now shared his experience of working with her.As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Thrinadha Rao said he had wanted to work with Nargis ever since he watched her in ‘Rockstar’ starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Imtiaz Ali.Thrinadha Rao said the opportunity finally came through Nenu Ready. The director revealed that the team explained the song idea to her, and she happily agreed to do the project and make her Telugu debut. “I watched her in Rockstar and always wanted to work with her, but it happened only now,” said Thrinadha Rao.He further said the song was shot on a grand set specially built at RFC with several foreign dancers. According to him, the ‘Housefull 3’ actress worked for a couple of days for the shoot and impressed everyone on the set with her expressions and dance performance. “She worked for a couple of days and impressed us with her dance moves and expressions. It has turned out to be one of the special highlights of our film,” he added.He also spoke about how actresses are now bringing more value and attention to such songs in movies. Thrinadha Rao said the term “item number” should not be used anymore. He explained that many leading actresses and celebrities are now doing these songs, and they are being presented in a much bigger and better way on screen.The director also shared that the makers are thinking about releasing ‘Nenu Ready’ in Hindi as well. He said the film has a comedy style similar to the popular ‘Housefull 3’ franchise and discussions are currently happening with the producers about a Hindi version.Thrinadha Rao also said he would love to work with Nargis again in the future. He praised her professionalism and said she did a very good job during the shoot. "I was highly impressed with her work and would love to cast her in a full-fledged role in the future. I’m confident she will receive more offers in Tollywood after this film,” he said.
