Ram Charan will be in beast mode as a wrestler in the upcoming film ‘Peddi’ helmed by Buchi Babu Sana. Ahead of the film’s release on June 4, the director revealed collaborating with the trainer who worked with Aamir Khan in ‘Dangal’.

Ram Charan trained for four months

As per a report by IANS, while speaking in a media interaction, Buchi Babu Sana said the team paid extra attention to wrestling sequences to ensure they appeared realistic on screen. He shared that the Mega Power Star trained for over four months.Speaking about the preparation process, the director said, "Cricket is a game that we all know. But we took special care in the matter of wrestling. We brought in the trainer who coached Aamir Khan in the movie Dangal. We also made wrestlers from Telangana part of the team. We gave special training to all the artists. Ram Charan took special training in wrestling for about three to four months for this movie."

Ram Charan shoot wrestling scenes with injury

In a conversation with Indian Today, Ram Charan shared that he got hurt three or four days before shooting the wrestling scene. He revealed that he avoided getting an MRI immediately thinking the diagnosis will weigh him down.
"It was one tear, but now it's seven tears because of the 20 days of shoot. I just had to get through the film and wanted it to come on June 4," he said. “To play a character like that, which is very necessary in a country like India. I feel very proud and fortunate to come across the role like this," he added.

The movie includes Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu among others in important roles. Makers have also planned premiere shows on June 3.
