‘Peddi’: Mrunal Thakur to appear in a special song as Rashmika Mandanna opts out - Reports

As fans have been eagerly waiting to see Ram Charan on the big screens, reports suggest that the makers are planning a special song for the film, and they are considering a few big names in the industry. If reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to approach Mrunal Thakur, as Rashmika Mandanna turned down the offer. According to a report by Money Control, the makers of ‘Peddi’ approached Rashmika Mandanna to perform a special song; however, she turned down the offer. The reason cited was that she is close to her wedding day, the report says. Multiple reports suggest that Rashmika Mandanna and her rumoured boyfriend Vijay Devarakonda will be tying the knot around February 24. However, neither of them has officially confirmed the speculations. As Rashmika Mandanna has turned down the song offer, the makers are reportedly eying Mrunal Thakur. Given her growing popularity in recent times, the makers might rope in for the special song. ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu, is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Dance numbers have become a must-have in most big-budget movies, especially in pan-Indian releases. ‘Peddi’ is touted to be a sports action drama. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film will feature Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. She made her Tollywood debut with Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’. Actors Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani are also part of the cast. AR Rahman will be composing the music for the film.
