Mahesh Babu in an ad in the past, she recently shared her desire to be a part of South Indian cinema.
Wish to work in South films
While speaking with Hindustan Times, Neeru Sehgal shared her interest in working in South Indian films. She mentioned she wants to be part of good stories and portray strong roles. “If the right story and role come along, absolutely,” she says. She wants to choose roles that feel real and full of emotion.
Experience working with Mahesh Babu
In 2024, she also worked in an ad with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and recalled the experience working with the ‘Varanasi’ star. “He’s such a huge superstar, yet so humble, warm, and incredibly professional on set, which made the whole shoot very comfortable and inspiring for me. It was a great learning experience just observing his focus and discipline,” she said.
The year 2026 has started in a special way for her, as she mentions and she has all the gratitude. “It feels like a moment of gratitude and quiet excitement more than anything else,” she says. She also shares, “As actors, we pour so much of ourselves into a project. So seeing it finally reach people is fulfilling.”
Speaking about Neeru Sehgal, she grew up in the US, but stayed close to her Punjabi roots. She says her culture is very important to her and her family. It also helps her in her acting. She was once a pageant queen before becoming an actor.
Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently working on his upcoming globetrotter film ‘Varanasi’ directed by SS Rajamouli. The movie features global icon Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
