Rakul Preet Singh, who was a contestant at the Femina Miss India pageant in 2011, and bagged five pageant titles, turns 30 on Saturday, October 10. Rakul is a perfect combination of beauty with brains. While studying, she decided to devote more time to the beauty pageants and subsequently to films. Rakul is known for her fitness and is a fitness enthusiast.


The gorgeous lady made her Tollywood debut with Keratam alongside Siddharth Rajkumar in 2011. Even though the film tanked at the box-office, Rakul's impressive debut performance was highly lauded by the audiences. Since then, she went on to star in many successful films not only in Tollywood but also Tamil and Hindi film industries. On the occasion of Rakul's birthday, here are the five films of the actress that proved her acting prowess.

Rakul as Prarthana in Venkatadri Express

Simple and non-glamorous, Raku Preet Singh played the role of Prarthana, who is a techie by her profession heads to Tirupathi for darshan of Lord Venkateswara quarrels with her co-passenger Sundeep for her share of the money. She gradually falls in love with him. Written and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the movie industry praised Rakul’s performance in the film. Rakul brings out innocence, guilt, passion, indulgence with ease.

Rakul as Chandrakala in Loukyam

In this film, Rakul plays the role of Chandrakala who is the sister of local crime lord Babji falls in love with a guy named Venky who helps his best friend to elope Babji’s elder sister to get married. While the film received positive reviews from the audience and critics, Rakul’s performance impressed everyone alike. The movie was widely appreciated for its entertainment quotient. It also did commercially well, grossing over Rs 50 crore at the box office against a budget of Rs 2o crore.

Rakul as Divyanka in Nannaku Prematho

Sharing the screen space with Jr NTR in this Sukumar directed film, Rakul Preet Singh perfectly portrayed the daughter of a cunning multimillionaire named Divya who falls in love with the son of a businessman who gets cheating by her father Krishnamurthy Kautilya. Although the movie didn’t do well at the box office, it was critically acclaimed. Rakul earned a lot of appreciation for her acting in the film.

Rakul as Mahalakshmi in Sarrainodu

Rakul’s portrayal as a village belle Mahalakshmi who has been hunted by the chief minister's gangster son Vairam Dhanush gets support from an ex-army soldier Gana played by Allu Arjun and falls in love with him. He is the ultimate saviour of her. With a brilliant star cast like Allu Arjun, Catherine Tresa, Srikanth, Aadhi Pinisetty, Suman and Rakul on board, there’s hardly anything that could go wrong. Rakul managed to make it so good and stood out among the rest of the cast.

One of the recent films that showed the potential and brilliant range of actress Rakul Preet Singh who stunned everyone with her performance as the daughter of a police officer Ishika falls in love with trainee IPS officer Dhruva essayed by Ram Charan who intends to take down the mastermind behind organized crime. Directed by Surender Reddy, Dhruva is a rather roller-coaster-ride.
