Here are six Tollywood celebrities who managed to enter the Guinness Book of World Records

Finding a place in Guinness Book of World Records is a prestigious thing and some people always try hard to climb into this record. Five legends from our Telugu film industry created a page of their own in the Guinness Book of World Records while doing their job rather than focusing on awards and honours. They have been awarded by this prestigious honour for their extraordinary achievements. Do you want to know who are they? Well, here are six Tollywood celebrities who managed to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.

P Susheela

P Susheela is one of the most revered Indian singers across the globe. Susheela is popular for her unique and clear vocals. She has given all-time hit likes Priye Chaaruseele from Megha Ssandesam, Entha Beeda Vade from MLA Edu Kondalu, Jhummandhi Nadam from Siri Siri Muvva, Kalagantino Swamy from Daana Veera Soora Karna, and among many others. She made Guinness Book of World Records for the most recorded artist in music history in 2016. She has reportedly recorded up to 17,695 solo, duet and chorus backed songs in over six Indian languages since the 1960s.

Brahmanandam

One of the reigning comedy kings of India, Brahmanandam holds a Guinness Book of World Records for featuring as many as 1000 films. From Aha Naa Pellanta to Achari America Yatra, his comic timing has no match to date. After making a debut in 1987 with the film, Aha Naa Pellanta, the comedian impressed everyone with his impeccable comic timing and amazing acting chops. The comedian has left a legacy of his own. No matter which expression he has to give or which scene he is in, Brahmanandam, has managed to make us love him all over again.

D Ramanaidu

D Ramanaidu was given the honour of being the most films produced by an individual by the Guinness Book of World Records for having produced more than 150 films in 13 Indian languages as of 2008. After making his debut with the 1964 film Ramudu Bheemudu, Ramanaidu has made a name for himself in the Telugu cinema industry. Many super hit films are credited to his name, including Prem Nagar, Soggadu, Devata, Indrudu Chandrudu, Bobbili Raja, Preminchukundam Raa, Kalisundam Raa, Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu, to name a few.

Ghazal Srinivas

Ghazal Srinivas was added to the Guinness Book of World Records 2008 for signing ghazals in 76 Indian and foreign languages at a live concert. In the year 2011, she was honoured with the Kala Ratna Award for his contribution to the field of arts and culture. He is the only one, who found his place in the world records for three times for singing 125 songs in 125 albums, for singing 100 songs in 100 different languages and for performing most number of live concerts in just 24 hours.

SP Balasubrahmanyam

With his unmatched voice, late legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has recorded songs for movies in multiple Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam films, and has established himself as a leading playback singer of the Indian music industry. He reportedly made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for recording highest number songs with over 40, 000 songs in various languages.

Vijaya Nirmala

Actor and director Vijaya Nirmala has a Guinness record to her credit, Guinness World Records (2002 edition) for being the female film director in the world to direct 42 full-length movies. She has also won several prestigious awards in his career, including the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2008 for her contributions to Telugu cinema. Vijaya Nirmala made her acting debut with the Tamil film Machcha Rekhai (1950) as a child artist and has acted in over 200 films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. In 1973, he turned director with Meena in Telugu, which starred herself in the lead role.
