Some rare and interesting trivia about this Chiranjeevi starrer

Chiranjeevi and Nagma starrer Gharana Mogudu hit the theatres back in 1992. The film not only minted moolah at the box-office, but the songs of the movie also turned out to be chartbusters. The film completed 28 years of its release on Thursday and its director K Raghavendra Rao has gone down memory lane. He goes down memory lane as his film Khuda Gawah completes 28 years. The action-drama revolves around a do-gooder common man played by Chiranjeevi who marries an arrogant daughter of an industrialist to teach her a lesson. On this significant occasion, here's some rare and interesting trivia about this film.

​First Telugu film that crossed the record of Rs 10 crore

The Chiranjeevi starrer was one of the most talked-about films of the year by the audiences and critics alike. Gharana Mogudu is touted as probably the best performance by Chiranjeevi and he feels no different. Needless to say that Chiru and Nagma's unmatched chemistry became the key highlight of the movie with moving performances by the leading actors. Gharana Mogudu was a commercial success, and it went on to become the first South Indian film to collect over Rs 10 crore share at the box office. Chiranjeevi is probably the first hero in the history of Indian cinema to take Rs 1crore remuneration for a film.

​It's a perfect blend of laughter, action and drama

Gharana Mogudu is a remake of 1986 Kannada hit film Anuraga Aralithu, starring Rajkumar, Madhavi and Geetha. In fact, it became the first Indian movie to be remade in six other languages. Packed with a whole lot of emotions and a perfect blend of laughter and action, this movie became legendary when it came to modern-day action-drama. The film won Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu. The film was screened at the 1993 International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section.

​Memorable soundtrack composed by MM Keeravani

The music of the film composed by MM Keeravani, including several significant numbers like Bangaru Kodi Petta, Kitukulu Thelisina, Hey Pilla Hello Pilla, Kappuko Duppati, Endibe Ettaga Undhi and Pandu Pandu Pandu. The song Bangaru Kodi Petta was later remixed by MM Keeravani in the 2009 Telugu blockbuster Magadheera, starring Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal. It was helmed by SS Rajamouli. Keeravani's vision, combined with Raghavendra Rao's direction took the soundtrack to another level, making it an instant favourite among the audiences.

​It receives much applause for its dialogues

The movie is full of excellent dialogues, and we all love hearing and quoting them in our day to day lives. The film was directed by the most critically acclaimed and successful director, K Raghavendra Rao who along with P Vasu and Paruchuri Brothers wrote the dialogues in the movie. As we already know, the film received much applause from the movie lovers for its direction, dialogues, story, screenplay and music. Director K Raghavendra Rao and the cast of their movie put in their heart and soul to create this blockbuster. Vani Viswanath, Raogopala Rao, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Brahmanandam, Sharat Saxena, Ramaprabha, Shubha, Ahuti Prasad, Sakshi Ranga Rao and Chalapathi Rao were seen in supporting roles.
