2/7

Sonali Bendre’s Tollywood debut

Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre made her Tollywood debut with this 2001 film. In the Krishna Vamsi’s film, Sonali was seen sharing screen space with Tollywood’s Prince Mahesh Babu. Soon after the release of the film, Sonali Bendre became a sensation in tinsel town. Since her debut, the actor has managed to make a name for herself as a challenging performer. Her most notable films including, Indra, Khadgam, Manmadhudu, Palnati Brahmanayudu and Shankar Dada MBBS. But before her debut in Tollywood, she knows the Telugu audience with the Tamil super hit film Kadhalar Dhinam, which was dubbed in Telugu as Premikula Roju. The movie received positive reviews and was a commercial success.

3/7

Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre’s sizzling chemistry

Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre, who play Murari and Vasundhara, have an intriguing love story. It develops slowly and steadily when Murari falls in love with Vasundhara. Believe it or not, Mahesh and Sonali can still make you skip a beat. Both Mahesh and Sonali look sizzling on-screen and make a great on-screen combination. Sonali is cute, bubbly, and she has come up with reliable performance.

4/7

A classic Krishna Vamsi film

Murari is one of the best examples of a classic Krishna Vamsi film, and it plainly taught us a lot of things after observing. The dynamics of relationships, strong emotional content, a purposeful storyline and melodious music are the essential elements in a Krishna Vamsi film which strikes the right chord within the audience. It registered an outstanding collection at the box office and became one of the highest earners of the year. As a director, Krishna Vamsi has given cult hits like Gulabi, Ninne Pelladutha, Sindhooram, Antahpuram, Khadgam, Rakhi, Chandamama, Mahatma and Govindudu Andarivadele.

5/7

Unique storyline

Set against the backdrop of a village, Murari revolves around the curse of a traditional family, in which a family member gets killed every forty-eight years. At the beginning of another clan, when a young man's life is at stake, his grandmother makes a considerable sacrifice to revoke the curse. Krishna Vamsi is of those directors who believed in realistic cinema and always brought the most accurate colours of his subject out, in the most brilliant way back then.

6/7

Memorable Songs

Murari made it to its popularity thanks to the hit songs. From the introduction song Dum Dum Dum to beautiful melody Alanati, all instantly became fan favourites. Right from the beautiful soundtrack to the abstract and malleable dialogues, it all fits perfectly well with someone who loves without fearing anything or anyone. Murari was Mahesh Babu’s first super success after a couple of flops, yet Krishna Vamsi cast him in the lead role, not only believing in his conviction but also stoically standing by him.

7/7

Destined to cult film

Murari was a cult movie, and it deserves mention each time it completes another year of existing. Krishna Vamsi's cinematic experience, Veturi Sundararama Murthy, Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Chandrabose and Suddala Ashok Teja's lyrics, Mani Sharma’s music, Ram Prasad 's cinematography and one of Mahesh Babu's best performances till date, Murari, makes you fall in love with the family elements and romance the movie showcases, with absolutely no remorse.
