Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' smashes Sultan's opening day record

Rajinikanth is truly the superstar of superstars and he has proven it yet again with his recently released film 'Kabali'. If 'Sultan's' day one collection is too much to take in for you then wait for the numbers this Pa Ranjith film has collected. The opening day collection of 'Kabali' saw a gross figure of whopping Rs 53 crore approx which is a feat in itself. The film has not only smashed Sultan's opening day records which was around Rs 36.5 crore, but has also become the highest grossing film of the year in India and overseas. With just few days post its release, this Rajinikanth-starrer is all set to break even more records in future and mind you, the weekend box office numbers are still awaited.
