Radhikaa Sarathkumar's rural comedy drama, ‘Thaai Kizhavi’, was released in theatres on February 27. The small-budget film went on to become a box office super hit, which went on to touch over Rs 80 crore globally, and will soon be available to stream online.

As per the latest reports, ‘Thaai Kizhavi’ is set to have its digital debut on Jio Hotstar. The OTT platform made the official announcement on their social media handles. Posting a 32-second clip from the film on their handle, the page tweeted, "Thaaikizhavi Jiohotstar la vasool panna vanthukirukka."
The film will begin streaming on April 10, 2026.
Plot of ‘Thaai Kizhavi’
Speaking about the film, ‘Thaai Kizhavi’ features Radhika Sarathkumar playing Pavunuthaayi, a fierce 70-year-old moneylender. She is questioned by her sons to divide the property and transfer it to their names. However, she later decided she wants to keep the entire fortune till she dies. The film takes a turn after she gets paralysed, and only in the hope of getting her wealth, her sons return to her.
‘Thaai Kizhavi’ box office performance
As per the report by trade analyst Sacnilk, the film’s India Net collection stands over Rs 61.34 crore and the total worldwide collection is estiamted to be around Rs 80.61 crore.
Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film has received a good response from the viewers. Sharing their take on the film, netizens called it a “wholesome” family entertainer. They also praised the lead, Radhika Sarathkumar's commanding performance.
The film's cast comprises of Radhika Sarathkumar as the titular Pavunuthaayi, supported by Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, and Ilavarasu.
