Srikanth's drug case: Two leading actresses and actor Krishna under police scanner

Actor Srikanth, who was a leading hero in the Tamil film industry, has been remanded in Puzhal prison until July 7 after being implicated in a cocaine case. In a search conducted at his home in Chennai, 7 empty cocaine packets and one gram of the drug were seized. The arrest shook Kollywood and brought to light the involvement of former AIADMK executives, drug dealers, and several actors.Former AIADMK leader and drug dealers unveiled in investigationAccording to Dinakaran, a detailed police investigation revealed that Srikanth had close ties to former AIADMK executive and film producer Prasad. In addition to introducing cocaine, Srikanth also had connections with Pradeep Kumar from Salem and John from Ghana. Srikanth confessed to having purchased cocaine 40 times, paying up to Rs. 4.72 lakh in digital money. Police say two popular actresses and actor Krishna are involved. An actress is currently the wife of a leading businessman and is involved in politics. Another actress has acted with two leading stars in a recently released film. Actor Krishna has not turned up for questioning and is reportedly absconding in Kerala.Police file charges under the NDPS actCases have been registered against Srikanth under four sections of the Narcotics Control Act. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.Similarly, the police are taking steps to freeze the assets of Prasad and Ajay Vandayar. It has also been revealed that their names have been linked to drug trafficking, fraud, land grabbing, and IT crimes.
