HOW TO WEAR YELLOW RIGHT THIS NAVRATRI?“Yellow symbolises joy, positivity and energy. And all these traits can be closely associated with festivals. The best jewellery for yellow is gold, even bright gold,” says stylist Purani. “But when you wear a necklaces close to the neck or a choker, make sure your hair is tied back. Only then will the necklace be fully shown and not get distracted by the hair,” she adds.

Hairstylist Divya suggests a few hairdos for the ideal yellow look: “Loose waves with a centre parting or a messy bun with jasmine flowers or a side braid — fishtail or French.”Stick to one jewellery piece, like a heavy necklace or big jhumkas , to keep it regal and not chaotic.”

Hairstylist Nishi suggests, “Loose curls with a side sweep add softness to the bold blue. A mid-part sleek bun with a matha patti or maang tikka looks royal. If hair is short, tuck in a jewelled hairpin or embellished clip.”

‘TRADITIONAL KOHL AND BOLD LIPS’“For eyes, go for bold kajal -rimmed eyes, a smudged lower lash line and a touch of gold shimmer on lids. Also, opt for warm-toned blush with golden highlights. Deep maroon, berry, or oxblood lipstick for the lips,” states makeup artiste Keerthana.
