Trisha Krishnan will next be seen in the upcoming action fantasy drama film ‘Karuppu’. As the film is set to hit theaters this week, reports regarding the film’s cast remuneration are surfacing on the internet. Let’s look at the actors' reported fees.
Leads remuneration
As reports state, Suriya, who plays the lead role in the RJ Balaji directorial, is charging over Rs 45 crore for the movie. In the released trailer, the actor appears in a dual avatar; he is also seen as a lawyer named Saravanan, dressed in white and speaking calmly. However, there is his dangerous side involving Lord Karuppu, played by Suriya. On the other hand, the female lead, Trisha Krishnan, essaying lawyer Preethi, is taking home over Rs 5 crore.
RJ Balaji’s fee
Meanwhile, the film's director, RJ Balaji, who also plays the main villain, is reportedly charging over Rs 2 crore for the project. He plays the antagonist, Baby Kannan.
Supporting cast’s fee
Apart from the star-studded leads, the film features a strong supporting cast, including actor and comedian Yogi Babu, who reportedly earned over Rs 2 crore for the film. Natarajan Subramaniam, also known as “Natty,” plays a key role and is reported to collect Rs 1.5 crore for the film.
Indrans, for his character, made over Rs 80 lakh and Swasika reportedly received Rs 40 lakh.
On Sunday, the makers released the trailer, which offers a look into the film’s storyline. The movie is said to feature high-energy sequences and engaging interval blocks.
The film’s music is composed by young musician Sai Abhyankkar, and it is set to release in multiple languages on May 14, 2026.
