Suriya’s much-awaited action drama 'Karuppu' is set to arrive in theatres on May 14. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film has huge hype among fans. However, a delay in reopening online bookings has created uncertainty just hours before the first shows.
The film stars Trisha Krishnan opposite Suriya and has built solid momentum in advance sales.
Advance bookings for 'Karuppu' show strong pre-release demand
'Karuppu' has posted impressive pre-sales numbers in Tamil Nadu. According to box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty, the film crossed Rs 1.90 crore in opening day advance bookings within nearly 36 hours of ticket sales going live.
RJ Balaji shares message for fans
As several theatres paused bookings, speculation grew about possible distribution issues. Addressing the concern, RJ Balaji posted a heartfelt message on X on May 13.
