Directed by Mouli, 'Nala Damayanthi' was released in 2003. The comedy film stars Madhavan, Geethu Mohandas, Shrutika and Anu Haasan in lead roles. The film is about a naive Tamil cook who is stuck in Australia. Following the success of the film in Tamil, it was later remade in Hindi in 2005 as 'Ramji Londonwaley'. The movie, even after 21 years, is considered as one of the best films of Madhavan for several reasons. The movie is still one of critics and audience favourites because of its unique blend of comedy and cultural elements.
