Dhanush’s ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’ wins international award
It’s a well-known that Dhanush teamed up with Ken Scott for the international project ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’, which hit the screens earlier this year. According to latest news, the film has reportedly won an award at the Norwegian International Film Festival.
Sharing the exciting news on Twitter, director Ken Scott wrote, “The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir won the prize "Ray of Sunshine" at the Norwegian International Film Festival! The topic of human dignity is front and centre in every vibrant frame of this picture, the jury stated in their deliberation.”
Prior to this, it’s worth mentioning that Dhanush received very good response at the premiere show in Paris. The film is inspired by the novel ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe’, which was released in 2014.
From the trailer, the film begins in Mumbai and tells the story of Ajatashatru (Dhanush), who sets on a mission to find his missing father, which takes him to places like Paris, Spain, Rome and Libya. Directed by Ken Scott, it stars Bérénice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi and Erin Moriarty in prominent roles.
