Bro Code dispute: Ravi Mohan drops title

Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film, also starring SJ Suryah and Arjun Ashokan, will no longer be titled Bro Code. The actor’s production house and IndoSpirit Beverages Private Limited are said to have settled the trademark dispute over the use of the title after the latter contended the use of their registered trademark as a film’s title.

We hear the Delhi High Court recorded a settlement after both parties participated in mediation under the aegis of the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre. The title will also be removed from the film’s promotional materials and online content. In October last year, the court had granted an ad interim injunction restraining the makers from using the exact title or any deceptively similar title. Additionally, the actor has also withdrawn proceedings he had earlier initiated before the Madras High Court.
