Birthday Special! Mandy Takhar: Movies with which actress has painted 2019 in her colour

Mandy Takhar is one of the leading ladies of the Punjabi film industry. Right from her debut in ‘Ekam - Son of Soil’, the actress has proved her mettle in the industry, and she continues to do the same till date. Today, as the diva has turned a year older, let’s have a look at her upcoming Punjabi movies with which she has painted the year in her colour.

2/7

‘Band Vaaje’

The actress has kick-started the year with one of the highly lauded movies of 2019 ‘Band Vaaje’. The movie starred Mandy as a Pakistani girl whose sheer beauty and innocence makes the guy fall for her in no time. The role she essayed in the movie was quite different from the type of parts the actress did in the recent past. She has been mostly known for her serious acting, but with ‘Band Vaaje’ she gave another hue to her shade palate as an actor.

3/7

‘Lukan Michi’

After ‘Band Vaaje’ Mandy Takhar is all set to hit the big screen with ‘Lukan Michi’. Though this one also is a romantic drama, it has been set against the backdrop of strong rivalry. The movie is about how Mandy’s on-screen beau played by Preet Harpal manages to tie the knot with her despite all the adversities. Yet again, Mandy will be seen flaunting her innocent and attractive side with ‘Lukan Michi’. The movie will be releasing on May 10th.

4/7

‘Saak’

After two comedy packed movies, Mandy Takhar will be seen in a period drama titled ‘Saak’. Featuring her and Jobanpreet Singh for the first time on the 70mm, the movie is a war romance. The pictures of Mandy and Joban from the set have already hinted at the strong chemistry they will be bringing on the big screen. Besides, Mandy Takhar as ‘Chann Kaur’ is very confident to touch the heartstrings of the audience. The movie will be coming out on June 7.

5/7

‘Zindagi Zindabaad’

There’s one thing common in all Mandy Takhar’s 2019 movies, the actress is pairing up with stars she hasn’t worked before with. In ‘Band Vaaje’ she and Binnu Dhillon paired as the lead couple of the movie for the first time, in ‘Lukan Michi’ Preet Harpal and Mandy will be seen together for the first time, in ‘Saak’ as well, it is the first time the actress is working with Jobanpreet Singh. And, her next movie ‘Zindagi Zindabaad’ also stars her and Ninja as the lead pair for the first time. The movie is based on real life incidents and unlike her other projects is quite serious in the genre. It will be making it to the box office on August 2nd.

6/7

‘Television’

Besides ‘Saak’ Mandy Takhar has done another period drama for 2019, and it is ‘Television’. Initially, the movie was scheduled to release earlier this year, but due to some reasons the same got delayed and now the new release date is yet to be out. The movie tells the tale of the time when television was introduced to the villages for the first time. In this film, Mandy Takhar will be seen sharing the screen space with Kulwinder Billa.

7/7

‘Chchallen Mundiyan’

Last but not least, Mandy Takhar will be seen in ‘Chchallen Mundiyan’. The shoot of the same is still going on. The movie is touted to be a romantic comedy, in which Mandy Takhar will reportedly be seen opposite Ammy Virk. The release date of the movie is yet to come out, but so far it has been scheduled to hit the box office this year only.
