Malayalam actor Siddique's late elder son, Rasheen Siddique, affectionately known as Sappi passed away on June 27, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.


Days after the funeral of Sappi, the director Anoop Sathyan shared his memories on Instagram, recounting a heartfelt conversation with Siddique after Sappi's funeral.



Anoop Sathyan described how Siddique fondly spoke about Sappi while seated on a veranda next to Sappi’s room. He reminisced about Sappi's distinctive traits, highlighting his meticulous nature in organizing things at home. Sappi had a particular fondness for chicken dishes, a fear of darkness, and was prone to epileptic seizures. Despite these challenges, Siddique remembered Sappi as someone who found joy and order in his surroundings, particularly in his favorite place—the library. Sappi’s love for books was evident as he meticulously arranged them on the shelves, earning admiration from the librarian.

Anoop Sathyan also recalled a memorable incident where Sappi took a bicycle and went missing, causing concern in the household. When he returned, he begged Siddique, "Don’t scold me, Vappa," a moment that highlighted Sappi’s innocence and genuine nature. Sathyan Anthikad, who also consoled Siddique, reflected on Sappi's life, noting that understanding the world from Sappi's perspective revealed his purity and lack of pretense.
